Hello. I've replaced the clock spring in my '07 Saab 9-3 to try and fix an airbag fault light. I need a tech 2 tool to reset the fault and see if I've fixed the problem. Anyone out there got one and be willing to help?
I'm based in Dublin but can travel. NCT is next week so need to get it sorted!
    Thanks in advance!

Most auto electricians would have aftermarket scanners that would easily clear that code

I believe that's not the case with the saab, it has to be a tech 2 specifically. I stand to be corrected though if anyone knows better.

I just looked up my Delphi system, it has full saab 9-3 airbag controls and data lists (with erase faults), so any half decent mechanic or auto sparks can do it.

Nice one, thanks for that. I'll give that a go so. Would still like to find someone with a tech 2 anyway, want to see if it's possible to activate the cruise control (got a stalk with cruise control with the donor clock spring).

Had a Saab about 6yrs ago so my information may be out of date but I found that most garages can not do Saabs, infact I never found one that could.
There was a man who worked on Saabs at Griffin Allotments on the road between Newcastle and Grange Castle(back of Greenogue Business Park) and he had a man with a tech2 who came around when he needed him.
I am sorry that this a bit vague but might help if you get stuck.

Yes, I've been over to CD Motors previously. They were to price a new CIM for me but I hadn't heard from them. Decided to go over today and have the code cleared. Unfortunately the fault is not clearing and it looks like a new CIM at a cost of €450 + Vat + Labour is going to be the cure.

Appreciate that, thanks, will take you up on your offer if I don't get sorted with CD motors.

You can buy a used cim and matching keys for about 100 euro used. You will then need tech2 and tis with security clearance to programme it.
There's a guy on adverts called Stuee Mason who sells used Saab parts (mostly 9-5s) but he has Tech2 and would most likely be able to sort you out. Certainly be worth talking to him anyway.

There,a also a guy up in Donegal who specializes scrapping 9-3s Anian
