Hi guys, my work has changed and now I only do around 12k miles per year so am thinking of changing my diesel to a newish petrol family sized car. I need something that will pull a car trailer occasionally, and is economical. 1.4 -1.6 engine perhaps. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

With your engine size in mind I would suggest a Skoda Octavia or Superb.

What size trailer? If its only a small trailer then you'll have no problem with a 1.4 or 1.6 petrol engine but if its larger then the lack of torque in small petrol engines will make a big difference.

Skoda Superb 1.4tsi 150bhp. All the family petrol car you will ever need.
