2 month vacation in the summer

    HI all,
Im in the priveledged position of having the summer months of july and august off work and I have decided to look into getting away with my family (wife and two young kids) for the two months. We have traditionally gone to the same place in Malaga for the past 5 years and it suits us perfect, but we really want to start spending all of our time off in the sun.
I am looking for advice on whether this kind of a holiday is something that is regularly done by anyone and if they had recommendations or even pointers in the right direction. I am presuming tha the cost of accommodation wouldn't be as much if we were staying for just the two weeks and that we would be looking at short term rentals opposed to your normal weekly cost. As i say this is something that we are hoping to start maybe summer 2019 as we have already booked our return to malaga for this year. I have heard of Florida/Spain/Italy etc as being locations that could be availed of ... but I think I need to research the basics first. Our budget for accommodation would be around 2-2.5k a month and we would need access to decent amenities (Beach/Communal pool/Restaurants/bars generally nice places to walk around at night/evening).
    Thanks in advance

Would you consider a house swap?
