Hi there, just wondering what steps can be taken where a semi state company breaches data on an individual where there is a dispute.information was given out to a person about another person's private business, about court proceedings and money owed for damages . This is surely a data breach that should of been kept confidential

Court proceedings are generally a matter of public record as would any award/damages.
In the case of it being a matter of public record, a cursory search would find the judgement details.
Generally Civil cases apart from family law are a matter of record and can be searched and reviewed by name.
You can should you believe that a breach occured report ot the ODPC.
