    Hi everyone,

I got a letter recently stating the Minister proposes to grant my application for Certificate of Naturalisation (I'm absolutely over the moon!).

It states near the bottom of the letter basically after you pay €950 fee:

"If your application for a Certificate of Naturalisation is to be granted, the next correspondence you will receive from this office will be to inform you that you will be required to attend a citizenship ceremony on a specific date".

I presume the ceremony would be in Dublin? As I work, I will have to work around my work schedule. Their pretty vague by not giving a specific date for the ceremony. Anyway of finding out the next few ceremony dates? Are they flexible with people that work? And if I'm not able to make the next ceremony due to work commitments can they reschedule you on the next one? How much notice do they give? Is it just best to contact them and explain all this to them?

Thank in advance for any advice:)

They won't confirm your date till you given them the €950, depending on the number of people called on the day, they may have several sessions, so they will confirm closing to the event.

As another poster mentioned, the next one is May 21st in Killarney, assuming you send your money in promptly, you should be called for that one, but I do know of cases where people were called for ceremonies when they had a planned vacation, and they just wrote in and got moved to the next ceremony.

    Hi,
Congrats on your exciting news. :-) Did you receive a letter of invitation to the ceremony as yet?

Can you give a bit more details on what you exactly got? And when you had submitted your original application?
