just wondering if any Kodiaqs owners have any thoughts to help me pull the trigger on ordering a 182 at this stage.

looking at the 7-seater automatic (Ambition) coming in around €38000 approx.

I like the idea of the 'size' and hence am gone away from the Karoq / Ateca etc

Anyone look at both a Kodiaq and a 5008??? and what made up your mind???

Have seen a few Kodiaqs around, very nice cars. The neighbour has a brand new 181 5008 and I have to say it is a stunning looking machine. Much better looking than the Kodiaq. Probably down to cost \ extras \ warrannty \ value for money att eh end of the day.

There is a new Santa Fe (much better than current model ) on the way so that might be worth considering as well. . Not sure if it will be ready for 182 though..

We went with the 181 5008 too.
We wanted space, due to lack of discount on the kodiaq there was no difference between it and a superb combi.
The middle row in the 5008 has three full seats with no hump in the floor.

We have a rear facing child's seat in the middle so we can have the front seats back

I liked the kodiaq, it was a close call. Very happy so far though

We are trading in a 152 Xtrail. On Friday we looked at the kodiaq, 5008 and the facelift Xtrail. The 5008 was the all round favourite. I liked the kodiaq but the wife wasn't keen on looks (thought bland, boring interior) although does feel premium. The tech wasn't that impressive with the dash lcd quite poor I felt. And of course the delivery times are 4 months plus as quoted on Friday.

The 5008 was a surprise, lookswise is stylish (though not as nice as the 3008 due to square almost mpv like rear) but the interior blew the kodiaq away. The driver orientated dash is excellent and the tech is very impressive. 3 full size middle row seats are great (headroom not as good as kodiaq if you have tall adults back there mind). As a driver a very nice place to be. 3rd row on a par with kodiaq I thought and boot space too. And it's available right now.

The Xtrail is a good car but we only looked at it to see if we got a better trade in price. Want a change regardless. My wife loved the car and would have been happy to get another.

Def going with the 5008. It's also cheaper than the kodiaq so you can get a great trim level if your budget is in kodiaq territory.

We are just waiting on trade in price from the Peugeot dealership and will pull the trigger if they can give us a good deal.

Are ye worried about the trade-in value in 3 years time??? Do Peugeot's hold their value??

Am worried that the 3008 & 5008 have brought Peugeot a lot of new customers (their popularity passing out all the old reliables like Toyota / Hyundai etc) but will they stand up to the reliability and re-sale of a Skoda over the coming years????

I suppose its a French vs German/Czech thing going on in my head.... I just have to get over it!
