If not that, then some sort of overflow pipe slashing away - also general running water sound.
Heat's been on a bit. Is that the cause?

I have exactly the same noise. Dripping sound above a room when heating is on. No damp marks or water patches so guessing it’s not doing any damage but I’d like to know the cause.

Definitely some peeing action in mine, or sounds exactly like it...

Have either of you gone up there to see what’s happening? I wouldn’t be so quick to assume it’s not a problem.

Wouldn't know what to look for, unless it pours down on top of me.
So, are you saying, peeing sounds ARE NOT standard?

Mine is between the ground floor and upstairs. Only hear it in one room though. It Sounds like an overflow tank as there is an overflow pipe outside the room where I can hear the drips.

I would be worried that if they’re doing no1 they might be doing no2 also :)

Seriously though, go up and see if you can work out where sound is coming from and decribe or photo it

Thats probably the pipes that have been put through the joists expanding with the heat.

So, took a look in the attic. The peeing noise is the main tank filling up. But it seems to go on forever, and only (or maybe mainly) happen when the heat is one. Overflow box no issue.
I've noticed the rd in the upstairs bedroom, directly below the attic tank, making gurgling noises.
    All seems a bi strange.

Is it coming in the ballvalve? Big tank or little one? Pic?

Water going into the big tank. Little tank looks stagnant.
Waters coming in at the top, like a toilet tank.
When i raised the ballcock it stopped, naturally.
But why the gurgling in the rad, and the need to fill the attic tank so frequently?

Overflow pipe is dripping. Sound of dribbling water (probably prostate) from the distant reaches of the loft. You have answered your own question. The ballcock (while we are on the subject) either needs adjusting or maybe just giving it a nudge to settle it into place (probably will need fixing though) as the water is continuing to fill and consequently overflowing. Either that or elves are peeing into the tank. They do say don't drink the water from tank fed taps.

Not sure I follow ye. Is it the ballcock that's the problem alone? Or something else as well?
