    Evening All
What sort of price would I be looking at for getting a new clutch fitted in
    A 2006 Ford C Max 1.6tdci midlands area.
Any recomendations for a reasonable priced job like that.

I’d imagine between parts and labor and it being a dual mass flywheel that you’d be looking close to about 900 euro. This isn’t a straight forward job on that model.
The sub frame has to be removed ect so it’s a big enough job.

Subframe does not need to be moved on focii to remove the gearbox.

If it's just the clutch, about €150 in parts plus 4 ish hours labour. Expect €400-500. But if the flywheel is found bad, add in another €400-500.

U sure it doesn’t have to be removed. And the flywheel should be replaced most of the time it will be wore. What you gona do just replace the clutch and not the flywheel then remove it again down the line just to do the flywheel. Kind of a pointless exercise

Yes, for sure subframe remains. I've dropped/installef a few complete engine/gearbox out of focusii without removing the subframe. In fairness to that dmf in the 1.6, they rarely fail

Yeah in the 1.6, you can leave the subframe in situ, and the DMF's in those are probably among the most reliable out there.

Whereas the 1.8tdci is subframe out and the DMF are made of chocolate.

Thanks for the info lads....will probably be looking to get it done before the summer...would be hoping it just needs a clutch and no flywheel...dont think i will be doing much driving as thinking of selling it when its fixed....

The 1.6tdci flywheel goes every bit as much as the 1.8tdci

Probably because people are doing the right thing replacing them with clutch rather than the DMF itself being goosed.

We've had three Cmaxs,1.6D's in the fleet witb 500,000 miles between them and all without DMF probs. The Ford guy who supplies our parts also said those DMF'S are sound.
