    Hi,
I have done a lot of search but still can't find information on claiming tax relief on my following expenses:

    1. My wife has done a harmony test in her early pregnancy.
    2. I have had a dentist visit recently which includes an exam and scale & polish. Looks like I can't claim tax refund on scale&polish, but what about the exam?

Thanks for any idea on this.

My thoughts would be as follows:
    1. Yes to Harmony test - based on paragraph 2.1 of 15-01-12 re medical expenses
    2. No to dental exam - this is routine dental treatment and not specialised based on paragraph 15 of 15-01-12 re medical expenses

PS congrats to you and your wife

Your dentist will tell you if you are due relief on their charges. Ask them for a form med 2 everytime you go there. If they give you one you can get relief.

They just said I can try to claim money back from my health insurance and nothing else, may be I should ask about the relief next time.
