Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gaelscoileanna/Irish Language Teachers

    Hi
I'm currently looking at Irish language maintenance in education as part of a Postgrad. course.
I'm wondering if there are any Irish language teachers on here (Primary/Secondary/3rd Level/Private) who'd like to share their opinions on Gaelscoileanna.

Basically do you think they're effective in maintaining the Irish language?

If you have any experience of working in one, do you feel the immersive language learning experience works in practice to increase students' proficiency in the language?

If you have experience in other Language teaching settings, do you think your students would benefit from being/having been in a Gaelscoil?

And, do you have any opinion on language requirements for teachers/ language requirements for students?

Any opinions/ insights you could share would be welcome.
    Thank you
    Josh
