Im best man for a wedding this year and wanted to get a video done before meal Ideally it would show the best bits of both their lives through video from birth to wedding day and I was wondering is there any company/group that does such a thing?

It would be instead of the usual long best-man-boring-speech (Im not a great public speaker) and would hopefully be something they would treasure after the wedding.

I know there are programs that do this but from what I've seen they all seem pretty amateur so your help/advice much appreciated as to where to go from here!

you say "THE usual" but you really mean "your usual" as you're not a great public speaker and I've seen some amazing best man speeches that drew tears and gasps... I suppose best just t play a video jeremy beadle style. What you really mean is you don't fancy the speech full stop..

you wouldn't be the first but remember you're not in vicar street being paid or the O2 singing for judges..you're in a room full of friends and family who are willing you on....it's an honour and a damn site better than some american inspired mash up best of video...half them are drunk, looking for their other halves..in the jacks..out smoking etc but even if it's standing room only, dont give them that much credit it's not the oscars....

it takes courage...which translates into "from the heart" (french) but you'll be grand...I'll let you have that as an opener..Marriage takes courage, which in french means from the heart..and it's with this in mind I'd like to say some words if I may...blah blah blah tequila!!!!

Im cringing even reading your opener but thank you.
(I am making a speech but this is in addition to heartfelt speech which wont be v long)

I've seen some really memorable and heart felt videos that really captured the essence of those getting married none of which included "Jeremy Beadle" type antics you've suggested or pics from drunken nights out-so think the opposite of that

So does anyone have any guidance suggestions?

I think you're being very unfair rusty cole.

OP I think that sounds like a nice idea! And as you said, you will be giving a short speech too. I'm afraid I don't have any advice about who could put the video together for you, but wish you the best of luck with it.

Also have you contacted the venue to make sure that your idea is feasible?

OP I done this for a wedding last year using MS PowerPoint and it was easy enough to do and the couple really liked it. Not sure of any companies that provide this service though.

    Well this for one:

I didn't get the impression at all that the OP just didn't fancy doing a speech. He's still planning to give a short speech (we've ALL sat through long boring ones!) and the video is an added bonus that the couple can keep for years to come.

Probably getting off topic though :P
