Just wonder what would be the minimum time you would need to make a flight in Bristol after arriving from Dublin?

You would need to allow 3 hours if self connecting. Collect baggage, check in again, clear security again etc.

    Connecting to where?

Connecting to a Lanzarote flight. Would be just hand luggage. Would already be checked in online.

It obviously doesn't take three hours to make the connection. Three hours is allowing for the possibility of the first flight being delayed since you're on your own if you miss the connecting flight.

Bristol is a small airport that has grown in the past couple of years.

Dublin flights, the ones earlier in the day are generally on-time early.

You will need to walk to the terminal exit and then go upstairs and queue.

This can be busy at times so the fast track option would be good.

Some of the gates are a bit of a walk as well but nothing as bad as Dublin.

Book a seat up the front of the incoming airplane if Ryanair so you can disembark early. Or the rear if it is the aer lingus plan to be at the rear.

Is an hour far too tight?

Should be fine if everything goes to plan.

Is 3 hours enough to disembark and get through security? Absolutely more then enough time.

But if your inbound is delayed for whatever reason you are in a world of pain. What are the consequences? When is the next flight

Connecting independently at small airports is risky and you need to build this into the time allowed.

    Would just be carry-on luggage.
