Coil spring broken

Have a 05 Hyundai Sante fe driver front coil gone.i knw the link I have is a few years old https://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/searches/expand.asp?uniqueID=179B93477EE8670E8025775E00358483 Is it worth ringing the main dealer here in Ireland to see if it’s to be recalled. I know it’s probly not worth it but do ye think I should chance them

I would doubt you'll have any joy on the car that's 13 years old. That recall you linked to is for suspension arms rather than springs.

Broken springs are not uncommon. You should get out for under €200 if you get a local mechanic rather than a dealer.

I ordered a spurious 1 80e for a spring I thought it was saucey don’t think tis worth throwing in a 2nd hand in.

You now have mismatched springs though.

Id do the pair and the both the shocks regardless.
Prob do the lower ball joints too and the top mounts/bearings if you plan keeping it .

Edit: I see you've gone to buy parts, so phone call didn't work or didn't happen! I'd agree with other posters, get both front springs replaced. I recently had both done on my car for around 220 euro.
