Have a 2009 2.2 Mazda 6.Has developed an intermittent starting problem.battery is perfect, everything works as it should, keys are being recognised but when the push button is pressed nothing happens. The first time she wouldn’t start I started it via a power pack and I drove it for a day and had no issues starting it all day then all of a sudden she won’t start again,so I jump it and then next time she’ll start again by herself. At the moment the car is in the driveway and she won’t start again.Have tried a brand new battery today and did nothing so no issues there.anyone ever experience this or have any suggestion? I’m leaning towards an issue with the starter motor? Any help appreciated!

The way u can diagnose the starter is when it happens again get a test light to the ignition feed on the starter. If you have power there when u go to crack it it’s down to the starter. So while this problem is happening and if u have power at the starter get someone to push the start button and u give the starter a few taps. If she goes the u no u need to whip off the starter and get her overhauled.
