Hi, im new to this forum, have received summons to court as i failed to produce licence when demanded at checkpoint and also within 10days as i realised i did not have my licence.Any one ever go through this. This is my first ever motoring offence and really am clueless as to what will happen. I really need my licence and car. I have since renewed my licence which is now valid
    Thanks in advance

Either talk to the Guard who you dealt with or on the day of court present your licence to the prosecuting guard and show a current licence. Should be fine either way.

So the issue was that your licence was expired, and you did not have it with you? Or that it was lost?

If you produce a valid licence at the court you can get away with a fine of less than 100 euro. It could be different of course, I'm not the judge.

Btw, this is not an insurance Q - moved to main motors forum
