expansion vessel -- extending the hose

I have a 50l expansion vessel connected to my hot water tank, its located on the floor next to the tank.

However I'd like to put the expansion vessel on the top of the cylinder (floor space is v tight), however the existing 1m hose is not long enough.

Would it be ok to change the connection hose to a 3m hose? (assuming I can find one that length)

It should be fine once it’s vented. Don’t bother with a hose. They’re ugly and flimsy. Do it in copper
