Looking at some 7 seaters with #3 expected.
Narrowed down to 5008 & Smax. For the Smax what is the 1.6 like .. it seems to be the most common but was at a garage lately and they said they only go for the 2.0
How does the tcdi compare to the 1.6 hdi ?

For the extra 1-2k is the smax worth it over the 5008.. looking at 131-142

The TDCi and HDI 1.6 is the same thing, and best avoided even in later ones which admittedly are better than the older ones.

So rules out a Grand Picasso too then .. what’s the best option for an MPV in your opinion

A 2.0 TDCi S-Max would be a safer bet, harder to find though.

I’d agree on the 2.0 TDCI

Might be wrong, but isn’t it just the 1.8 TDCI on the SMax that has the wet belt? The 2.0 is a PSA unit I think.
