    Need some help people, my s40 1.8 is revving by itself, and revs stick, I've cleaned throttle body, egr, airflow meter, help please

    I think it's basically the same engine as the mondeo. My brother in laws mondeo was doing the same thing. It was a split pcv hose. It's a bit of a pain as you've to remove the intake manifold to get to it. It's apparently a common problem.

    This was a big help.

    Get a old spray bottle and clean it out
    Fill with water and spray around the hoses with engine running
    If you hear a change in rpm you have found the hose.
