Technical Advice re getting terrestrial tv channels without a dish

I'm looking to get the terrestrial channels in our house. We can't get them via Saorview as we are on the side of a mountain and its blocking line-of-sight of the mast so am now considering IPTV options.
We have a Samsung TV with netflix / youtube on it etc. Ideally want it just for things like the rugby match this weekend etc.
Have a fairly decent broadband connection into the house but the router isn't in the room where the tv is so might need to boost the signal somehow also.

Can you get RTÉ Player? Think you can watch live on that.

Would be better running an Ethernet cable from Router to TV.

The rugby match this weekend is FTA on UTV/ITV on satellite. A lot of viewers even with saorview will be watching it on ITV HD instead of fuzzy TV3.

    As for saorview reception...
Have you checked the possibility of a signal from a transmitter further away but not behind a mountain?

Have you looked at saorsat? Though missing virgin channels it will get you RTE & TG4.
