Hi all. I'm starting to sign on for Jobseeker's, they've given me a date and time for next week for my initial appointment. I've realised I'm supposed to be going to Galway for an event the night before and I won't be able to make it back to Dublin early enough. If I call my local Intreo office, do you think they might be able to reschedule the meeting for another time, or is that just never done? Would it be safer to tell them I'm sick, closer to the day?

Also, as a side-question, do you get back paid from the initial day you go in, or the day you have your meeting?
