Anybody else finding music to be exceptionally good the past year or so?

There seems to be more music than ever before, but much (not the majority) of it feels like it is of an extremely excellent quality. That would stack up against any test of time. Dare I say, a golden age of music?

Made a list of songs that I think would beat any music from the past:

    Arcade Fire - Creature Comfort
    Camila Cabello - Havana
Kid Cudi - Surfin' ft. Pharrell Williams
    Royal Blood – Lights Out
    St. Vincent - "Los Ageless"
Mick Flannery - Cameo *(wanted to add an Irish person to the list)
    Lana Del Rey – Love
    Beck - Up All Night
    Kendrick Lamar - DNA
    Rag'n'Bone Man - Human

So is this the greatest period of new music ever?

This is a guess: but you weren't around in the 70s.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I always thought the greatest period of music is the time you first discover music you love.

That’s it. Every lad gets older and thinks the rock music that was or in his teenage years is the high point of music.
I’m a slight exception in that lots off lads of my vintage think the Smiths were the greatest band ever. They were shït then and Morrissey was a complete fûcking arsehole. Time hasn’t changed either fact.

As soon as I saw this I stopped taking you seriously OP:
    Camila Cabello - Havana

Edit: You may be getting confused by the fact that in the last few months, mainstream music hasn't been as completely and utterly shyte as usual. I hope this clears things up.
