TEXTRA - should I get charged by EIR using Textra?

Anybody using Textra on PAYG? Is it meant to be free sending SMS?

I started using Textra few months ago as the default SMS on Samsung phone. I am convinced, at the time my credit did not drop when using Textra to send SMS.

I just noticed now that my credit drops by 15 cent with each SMS sent. Can somebody clarify if sending SMS should be free, not sure how Textra should work.

    Cheers

Textra sends messages via SMS so they'll be treated the same as any other SMS message and charged accordingly.

Sounds like a account issue with Eir.

Have you used up your free text allocation?

The features of Textra are free not the SMS.

"All Textra features are free forever"

There's no mention of free SMSs in the description.

Even if they weren't free that would have nothing to do with your eir credit balance anyway.

    Thank you all for clarifying.
There I was for a while happy I found the hidden treasure. I must have been with some plan with free SMS at the time when I did not get charged.
