BA desk is in T1 at the security entrance end

Have to be extremely careful here as things are complex
    1. If the flight number is 3 digits eg BA831 then its BA and go to T1
    2. If you are going to London City then its BA and go to T1
    3. If the flight number is 4 digits e.g. BA59XX then its actually Aer Lingus and go to T2
    4. If you are going to anywhere other than Heathrow or London City then its not BA its operated by someone else which almost certainly would be Aer Lingus (or American) so off to T2

There are BA flights from T1 which Aer Lingus actually operate but they are BA flights, free food onboard etc. So 'operated by Aer Lingus' will not tell you which terminal to go to. Check the ticket

^^ The above. There is a BA desk in T1, but in some cases you need to check in with EI.

The Dublin airport smartphone app will tell you the terminal and check-in zone for any flight departing today, tomorrow and the next day. It also gives a gate number which I wouldn't rely on (can change at the last minute) but it mightn't be a bad idea to check the data for your flight using the app before you leave for the airport.

My flight is London Heathrow it is flight BA0837 so it is T2 I guess.

If you google BA837 or BA0837 you will quickly discover which terminal it departs from and which terminal in Heathrow it will take you to.

It's T1. The preceding zero doesn't count as a fourth digit.

I have a problem with a ticket where my first name is incorrectly spelt one character missing will I be able to get this corrected at the BA customer service desk

    Best contact BA before travel

If its a flight to the UK probably not a not an issue but if travelling to the US or another country requiring advanced passenger info you won't be able to check in as you details will not match

Any kind of accents, apostrophes, middle names etc don't count so if its one of those don't worry airline systems are purely A-Z only and first name last name

My first name is one character short my surname is correct I hope they can change it. The flight is part of multiple flights one being international the agent who I booked the flight dont want to change it they say it wont be a issue but I dont believe them.

This is what I am worried about ticket will be no good not sure BA will change it for me but it is worth a visit to the airport to see my flight is not for 2 days yet.

Thanks for advice I wont be using a agent either next time.

Just in case people look back at this tread again, I went to Airport yesterday to talk to BA staff and they told me it shouldn't be a problem with only one character missing in my first name but would not give me a 100% guarantee.

I just now have to take a chance to see what happens as they could not change the ticket as it was got through a travel agent.

Thanks to everybody for all there help and information. :D
