So I see the Water supply is gone again in Ashbourne/Ratoath. Think this is the 3rd time in the last 2 weeks that the water supply has been cut off.

Seems to have been a huge amount of damage caused by the recent cold weather unfortunately.

The legacy of years of under investment, neglect and too much development without the underlying infrastructure, there weren't too many votes in digging up roads to put new pipes in, projects with more visible results were preferred, and the botched move to Irish Water has only made the problems worse.

It's going to be quite some time before the water (and waste water) systems of South Meath are truly fit for purpose, there are some significant issues to be addressed, and a lack of adequate funding to do it with.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁
