O'Connell Street Improvements. Take 3.

    So according to the OceanFM website, O'Connell Street is schuelded to finnally get its make over, starting in the second quarter of this year. From memory, this is the third time (whilst I have lived in Sligo) such news has arrisen, hence the thread title.

    Hopefully it does actually happen, but with an estmated start, talk of tender, and plans, am surprised, there is still no plans available for viewing, so this time, I will believe it, when work eventually starts. Oh, and its expected to take a year!

    Hopefully any improvements, will also attract further improvements to surounding streets, Wine Street Car Park (filling some of the holes is not an improvement CoCo), and attract new, and improve exsisting business.

    And it's been delayed, again!

    Like most other grand schemes in this town, don't think it will ever be completed, apart from cheap, and temporary looking improvements.

    Expecting a Take 4 version of this thread in few years, quicker than expecting this work to be done.

    :(
