    Not being smart but lab equipment.

    If you have to ask here what equipment you don't need it. Soil testing is cheap so pay the professionals to do it.

    Spectrophotometer, and a few other small bits like pippettes etc to measure things right. The chemicals can be got in little sachets.

    I am not looking at doing it myself I am just wondering whats involved.

    Dry soil, sieve+crush, add distilled water+chemicals, shake, filter soil out, put water sample in machine and press a button.
