I see lots of people on these forums constantly defending rights or views or what have ye.

Say for example to abortion thing. I wonder what they will do after the vote. Will they jump on another crusade and carry on or will they sit down and have a cup of tea and put the feet up.

Say for example the racist people, if all the races were blown up tomorrow and there was just your race left what would you do then?

Basically keyboard warriors of boards what’ll you do when your current demands are met?

I thought your cause was making threads that have already been done dozens of times.

Also, didn't you have at least 2 threads last week about government schemes for the unemployed?

Yeah was just a weekly thing I wouldn’t call it a cause really.
I’m willing to listen to reason and understanding other people have different views and a vote just like mine.

I’d hardly stay up all night arguing or searching the forum for trigger words. I think this sets me apart from the true warriors.

Join one of the small left wing parties. You’ll be writing blogs, attending meetings about Marx, and debating on the Internet for years. You don’t have to dress up either. In fact, the more dishevelled you look the better. Also heard it’s good for meeting fellow fans of ‘puff the magic dragon’.

    Not that I noticed.

I just read the thread on the private school funding. I wanted to be angry at it but at the end I realised it was absolutely nothing to be offended by.

    That’s just one example.

I don't have the energy or the attention span to really get involved into any of that for longer than 24 hours. So I'll keep lurking and laughing.

Age, gender, eye colour, hair colour, race really has so little to do with race wars in the end the cone nipple people will rule this world.

That’s an interesting view. Do you think racist people will just keep dividing the population until they are the only ones left.

I suppose they need somebody to blame for their problems and it certainly won’t be themselves.

Race once eliminated would be replaced by something else, age or gender would be the obvious choice, social status, wealth medical or mental health name your cliche divide will always exist until the last one on earth be that man woman or other.

So would you agree that say for example:

The pro/anti abortion people. Is it as much about hating the other side as it is the issue?
Now I know there’s plenty of people with reasoned views but I’m talking about the real up all night on the keyboard militants.

It's more about having a cause to fight for and having something to fight against ignorance to either is not important the other side of the coin is the rent a mob which has existed in society for thousands of years idiots that just want to shout, rabble rabble rabble.

Abortion topic isn't really relevant in the case of racism or racists. Very strange to use such a topic as a basis of argument imo.

I think it is relevant. I think all these causes that people fight for on the Internet are more about the person than the issue. Take water charges you had two sets of sides that put in thousands of hours on Internet forums taking either side. I think it was more to do with anti government v anti social welfare. I’m not saying there wasn’t a huge percentage of people in the middle that had a reasoned view on it but again I’m talking about the real warriors.

What happened these people after. Did they all move onto a different subject but still on the same sides?

I think you're over simplifying it. Most people take sides because of a belief or opinion on the matter at hand. They don't finish with one issue and go looking for another. They certainly, if there happens to be a subsequent issue, don't necessarily take the same side as those who they agreed with on the preceding issue. I could take a strong line on water charges that supports your view but be adamantly opposed to your views on abortion, while having insufficient interest in homelessness to be bothered discussing it with you, or anybody else, regardless of your feelings on it.
I can be anti-government on one issue and pro-government on another.
It's on a case by case basis, individual by individual.

Some people become addicted to outrage against perceived injustices, they would be lost without such injustices.

Kind of like army vets having to go back to war because they can’t live in society anymore

It's hard to know what the religious right will do if the 8th Amendment is repealed. It's hard to imagine the likes of David Quinn ever turning down an opportunity to have his voice heard on television or radio, but with divorce, marriage equality and abortion all sorted, what will he move on to? I suppose it's too much to expect him to suddenly start caring about actual children who've already been born, but are homeless, chronically ill or living in poverty.

I think church people will go on hating gays and lesbians and liberals I think church haters will go on hating the church. I think abortion is just a momentary battleground.

I seen him about always jumping into the first few posts on a thread trying to make a joke and disappearing maybe he is an old keyboard warrior that had his cause resolved and doesn’t know what to do anymore.
