BPS land parcel database

    Hi All.

I inherited some land a few years ago with is situated adjacent to land farmed by someone else. I do not farm my own ground but I would like to ascertain that my ground isn't being claimed for under the BPS by this farmer. I can see online that this farmer is claiming a sizeable amount on the CAP beneficiary database.

Does ownership of a land parcel have to be verified before claiming under the application? Is there any database where I can check if my land is being claimed for? Sorry for all the questions - I'm not at all familiar with the application process. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If a farmer is farming it, he's entitled to claim on it,
If you have it rented out, the rent is usually based on whether it's available to claim on or not
A farmer is obliged to include all the land he farms in his BPS application

Cheers for this Wrangler. There's no farming being done on it. My concern is that with the proximity of my land to his, he may possibly be claiming for it without my consent.

Yeah that's right - I own the land but have not put any apps on it.
