Any coax to HDMI adaptor?

Have wall mounted tv and recessed wires

Unfortunately during refurbs electricians wired for 2 HDMI and internet, but no coax

Have saor view coming in on coax

I could buy a box and run it on HDMI but the interface on the tv is pretty good and I don't want more hardware and an additional remote control. Granted series linking isn't great on tv but another remote is hassle.

I assume you can't get something that just changes coax to HDMI, there needs to be some kind of box that sends out its own interface?

Want to avoid chasing the wall again if possible

Is there any space at all in the conduit for the HDMI etc? Would it be possible to get fish tape and try run the cable yourself?

Not sure. To be honest the internet wire they put in isn't working so may have to chase it out again anyway, just wondering if any alternative if needed.

Get a Logitech harmony remote (with hub to add wireless and Bluetooth). Then you can hide a device away and control it and use HDMI to TV

Would that be functional with a smart tv? My lg interface is as good as it gets, remote works like a mouse on the screen, does voice activation etc. Don't want to interfere with that fluidity.

The logitech would work on the basis that the coax signal would go into the back of its hub? Or would I have to get a saor view box and plug that into the hub?

Sounds fiddley, which I want to avoid

Something like this - needs its own power supply...

I have something like this at home, I must check it out to see if it takes coax as input (definitely does HDMI and RGB out).

No, you'd still need a box to do this. My point is that with harmony remote you can hide it away or even keep it in a different room. You can voice control a harmony remote using a Google Home or Alexa.

That looks exactly what I need - thanks - all that needs to work now is the tuner on the tv needs to be able to do the same to a hdmi signal as its already doing to coax
