Wind Turbine/Solar from Aliexpress

    Anybody bought turbines/solar/water turbines etc off Aliexpress? Saw on Youtube a few people have and mixed reports.. Maybe buying in the future and just checking if anybody here has chanced it.

    I've yet to see a Chinese turbine that lasted more than 2 years in Irish conditions. I was tempted by the prices many years ago and bought a few different ones. All melted down now and recycled. Likewise two hydro turbines. Each lasted about 2 years.

    Yangzhou Shenzo make good ones and bad ones. Best bought in pairs for spares. Even the good ones need furling mods or smaller blades.
    Consider them a kit, re-lube when you get it, add a secondary brush set, inspect the gubbins, check the windings and bearings etc..

    Value for money nonetheless.

    Aliexpress is a market place. There are thousands of vendors with varying degrees of quality from none to world class, if you buy cheap you'll end up with crap and do a lot of research before buying expensive.
