+1 same here. You might think they are a tad small but they grow like mad for the summer. Grass only over the summer.

Try dairy heifer it’s 21%P , & you can give to males too as it doesn’t include reminiscin (not right spelling)

depending on the weight and breed, i usually have em at 400kg come 14mnths,

had the odd one bulled at 12-13mnths because of size/weight,

go by weight/size more so than age

    you wouldn't agree?

Obviously weight is important and 400 kgs is a great weight but heifers need time to mature too. 14-15 months is fine if they’re at the weight but give the heifers a chance too.

some weight for that age...3 questions if you don't mind?

    1. What breed are they?
    2. Were they wintered in house
    3. When did you start to meal them?

    Thks, Mac.

    No worries.
All sims, pbnr and 3/4 breed. Weaned late October and started on 1.5kg of 19p nut. Left out until late November and on slats since. Getting adlib good haylage and 1.5Kg of same nut since. Not pushed hard as they would only get fat. All very good breeding and cows calves.

Iv half a dozen heifers calves same breeding and treatment that are back to a touch along with 400kg

They have gotten about 200kg of nuts each since weaning. Edit to say leaving them out for the month after weaning really stud to them as they didn't knock back a bit after weaned.
