We ran out of oil in the last few days and just had a refill.
The oil burner won't fire up probably due to an airlock.
I removed the Red cover and opened 2 nuts for pipes going into the system but no oil is coming through.
The oil tank is aprox 30 mtrs from the burner.

Can you advise how I can clear the airlock please.
    Thank you

Height is hard to say but there's a good fall towards the burner. Its probably 4-5 ft higher than burner.
Burner model is a Grant slimline 50-80
yes there are 2 pipes going in to the burner.

    thanks for your help

Can you take a picture of the bolier where you have the airlock nut taken off.

Or is it possible that the handle near the tank is switched to off?

With a 30 meter run it could take a minute or two to get to the burner depending on the size of the pipe and how clean the filters are.

Is there a filter before the boiler?

If so open this as it may well be blocked.

Firstly put back on your two pipes. You need the suction of the burner oil pump to get the oil through.where to bleed it depends on burner model..,if you can post a pic or give the burner model

There is a bleed bolt on the underside of the pump, beneath the oil inlet/return pipes. Loosen it, put a container under it and press the reset button repeatetly until the burner fires up and continues to run. The oil will appear frothy until the air is expelled then run cleanly from the bleeder. Tighten it back up.

    Hi All
    Thanks for all the replies.
Glad to report - its now working again.

For the benefit of anyone who might experience the same problem - here's what I did.

I removed the RED panel. ( one nut on top + one on the side )
I then removed the 3 inch brass nut with silver washer underneath the front. This has a small allen key nut on top of it which can also be loosened to let air out. However by removing the Brass nut completely the flow of oil comes through faster.
I repeatedly pressed the "Reset" button. It could have taken 30 or 40 reset presses before I got a flow of oil.
At the start some small bubbles came out, later larger bubbles, then a little squirt of oil, then a greater amount of bubbles and this was followed by a reasonable flow of oil.
I made sure that the small Washer was put back on the Brass nut when I was replacing it. ( the small washer is also important so don't loose it )

    That's it
So thank you all once again.

Seriously, you pressed the reset button 30 or 40 times to clear the airlock ?!!!
Great way to wreck the oil pump..
Dont be surprised if it packs in soon.
A syphon pump should be connected to the oil line just before the burner and suck air/oil through until a steady flow of oil is achieved , then re-connect and fire it up.
Oil pumps have been known to go after just one or two presses of the reset button and running it dry...
