    Is now the time to prune?
    The recent cold weather has turned the young red shoots black anyway.

    For an evergreen shrub like photinia red robin I'd be more inclined to leave it another couple of weeks in case there is another hard frost that would damage the new growth after pruning.

    Mine is the same. Was looking forward to.the new red leaves. Should we just cut them off now?
