    Hi guys and girls,

I'm looking to buy a new car in the coming weeks and I was wondering if people could help me along the way.

My budget is about 12k but would be will to move on it slightly if needs be.

I really like the Volvo v40's and s60's but with the r-design package, Octavia vrs, or a jeep like an xtrail, sportage or Tuscan but would be open to any suggestions.

Any help is greatly appricated !

    Thanks,
    Sean

    Look on youtube for reviews
Go test drive, but don't buy the first car you drive.
Go for good engine and inside comfort rather than a pretty exterior, you'll be spending more time inside the car than outside looking at it.

    "Review" :D

Had a look at a very nice v40 r-design today but it's diesel so I don't think that I would be doing enpugh driving as I do about 20mins in the morning and evening then drive about an hour to the parents every second weekend

Narrowed it down a bit in my head for what I'm looking for...

    1st. Volvo v40 r-design
    2nd. BMW 320i msport
    3rd Nissan qashqai
    4th VW Passat

Only looking for petrol, gonna keep an eye on the regular spots and hope something shows up soon.

The Quasqai is a bit of an odd one out compared to your other choices?

Been looking at Lexus CT 200h myself recently in this price bracket.
.. seems like good deals can be had from UK at the moment with low vrt and low running costs are low too.
Might be a little small though compared to your other options .

Found a gorgeous Volvo s60 r-design and test drove it today, pretty sure I'm gonna pull the trigger on it Monday!

Qashqai is the odd one out alright but it was more for the space and maybe be given to the girlfirend in a year or two as I may have a company car
