The years of quantitative easing and low interest rates are coming to an end. The US is trying to normalize interest rates while the ECB is winding down QE. So, what will the central banks do when the next recession comes along? If they cut interest rates again and go back to QE, the currency would plummet.

In fact, in the case of Europe, Germany`s interests are at variance with much of the rest of the EU, hence the likelihood of the EU breaking apart. If the EU, do not repeat QE in the event of a recession, that recession will become a depression.

    Interesting times ahead.

This was supposed to happen last November and something something China something America. You were gleefully predicting the end of civilization.

Now you have decided it will be the EU (again) and back to it will happen in the future

Seriously, this prediction has been posted time and time again and when people disprove you, you just go start the same thread in a different forum.
