Everybody will try it, at least once. They’re involved in so many markets now with water and bottling, alcohol is just a natural extension.

No they won’t and not really !:)

It’s hard to dice & slice C-C’s sales because of the manner in which they are aggregated. For starters, about half their revenue comes from their bottling operations, which are not evenly distributed globally. (Remember that both they, Pepsi and Guinness export syrup which is blended/carbonated/bottled locally.) Coke’s key markets by volume are the US and Mexico, but there are legal issues with sales of alcoholic beverages in all US States, so that is problematic both from a distribution and licencing POV. Subtract the European sales from their EMEA figure and add in Asia Pacific (which includes the Indian sub-continent) you have an equally important, or possibly significantly bigger market. Coke's success in those markets largely derives from the fact that a sizeable percentage of the population there is Muslim, so alcohol is taboo.

FWIW Cherry and cinnamon are two flavorings that feature at the top of the list in the US, but they are low down elsewhere, as shown by the way Cherry Coke bombed outside of the US

Alcohol will not work for Coca Cola. This is just an experiment for them; I expect it will fail.

Remember cans of shandy (c&c)? Any of the alcopops from 10 years ago?

    Probably not.

In Thailand they have cans of jim beam and cola. Really nice and handy. Don't see why a can of vodka and coke wouldn't work.
