    Hi all,

Looking to the used market as I'm trying to maximize performance for as little an outlay as possible. Usage will mostly be day-to-day office/browsing etc. Some occasional AutoCAD/Civil 3D and gaming. Gaming would mostly be racing games. Not bothered about maxing out the latest games - 1080 60fps on medium (or high for games a few years old). Have come up with the following (links included where the parts are from Ebay/Amazon - other parts come from donedeal/adverts/cex/local shops)

    Case - Corsair CC-9011086-WW - Amazon - £42 (€47)
    PSU - Corsair CP-9020097-UK VS Series ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Power Supply Unit, 550 W - Amazon - £39 (€44)
    Processor - Core i5-3470 (3.2Ghz) LGA1155 - €35
    Motherboard - Intel G12527-310 Socket LGA1155 Motherboard Q67 Express MicroATX - DQ67SW - eBay - £54 (€61)
    GPU - Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB - €72
    RAM - 2 x 4 GB PC10600 DDR3 1333MHz 240 Pin - €30
    HDD - SanDisk SSD PLUS 120 GB Sata III 2.5-inch Internal SSD - Amazon - £36 (€41)

Total cost approx. €330. I feel like the motherboard is expensive for what it is, but can't find better for cheaper (so maybe not?!). I have a mechanical 1TB HDD for data storage, and I already have Windows/monitor/keyboard etc.

    Any help is appreciated. :)

Fundamentally pretty sound but be warned CEX don't test CPU/RAM so you're just gonna have to hope they're OK.

Another option is to get a 2nd hand Dell Optiplex with 3rd gen i5 from Ebay with 8GB ram for €160 and throw in a new GTX1050 2GB for €130.

Thanks Terror - didn't know that about CEX. Just presumed they would.
