    Could anyone tell me the name of the original standard pickups in the USA/MIM Strat?
    Need to purchase for upgrade of old strat

    If upgrading, why not go for something other than stock to suit your individual sound and genre
    e.g. Aftermarket Texas hot, SD's or Fender Custom Shop, Noiseless etc.

    Hi accumulator,see I'm still trying to see which would suit me.i love the clean strat sound,and it's primarily country I play.Any advice?

    Buy/trade for a Telecaster instead :pac:

    As long as the strat isn't SSH, and just SSS single coils, perhaps:

    N: Fender CS '69
    M: Duncan SSL-1
    B: Fender CS '54

    Or whatever the local store has in stock and within price band.

    I'm just thinking is a prewired pick guard with CS 69 the easiest way to upgrade
