hi there, my wife from Meath and we are planning to buy a site and starts our new home but I heard lots of stories related to the process of the planning permission and I was wondering if anyone may give me advice, from where should I start , should I speak to Councillor or Architect , how much that will cost me , or if anyone knows good Architect from Meath, will be grand to have the contact details,,,, I read cases for a few people who spent a few grants to get the planning permission but ending with negative decision, so whats the story here is it Loto process or could be something else goes badly

First point of call go on to the Co Co website and read the local needs policy to make sure you meet their criteria. Meath Co Co is tough work proving your from the area from my experience. The talk to whom ever you plan to get to design your home.

Get 3 quotes fro 3 different architects.

If his effort is too much then building a house is not for you.
