Hot water / Cylinder question

So.... Long story short, house had an electric shower when I moved in and I've been using it everyday for the past 3 years until last week when it broke.
I have gas central heating  and am toying with the idea of installing a mixer tap on the bath and shower-head and just using the hot water rather than installing another electric shower but what has me hesitant is the fact that I struggle to fill a bath of hot water.
At first I thought maybe the tank was just small (approx 30inches in height and 18inches in diameter) but reading online it seems this might be a 96.5 litre tank? (chart here) Am I expecting too much from the tank? should that be sufficient? How long of a shower would that get me?
No issues anywhere else - radiators are all piping hot, water pressure is good etc...
Thanks in advance for any replies.
    Derek

When you say fill a bath of hot water are you saying a full bath of hot water?
Is the cylinder getting hot top to bottom?

Not a full bath at all. I'd be lucky if I got 5 or 6 inches of hot water in a standard bath before the hit tap runs cold.... then I just leave it filling with cold.

There'd be no topping it up with hot water mid bath anyway..

Will give the cylinder a feel in the morning.

    Thanks,
    Derek
