I've an issue my my mac keyboard where water was spilled on it and now the spacebar won't work. Can anyone recommend a program to reassign the key in the short term?

    Karabiner: https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/

In the "Simple Modifications" tab, set up a rule to map from some other key (e.g. Right Command) to Spacebar. (Functional spacebar not required!)

Thanks, I've set it up that way now. Just had to update to High Sierra to do it.
Now it's just getting used to not hitting the space bar!

I just remembered that a friend of mine has a 3d printer. I might get him to make something as a more permanent fix.
