    Yes please!

Emerald Rush, this must be the track that was premiered on BBC6 recently, reminds me of Moderat/Modeselektor. Nice to see him do a standalone gig, will get to see him at Body&Soul. :)

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

    Tickets bought :)

Hopkins is the best act i have ever seen at EP. And after last weekend, the best act I've ever seen at body and soul.

I have no doubts that after this gig, he'll be the best act ive ever seen at Vicar Street too.

    €78.80 for 2

You should put a request up on Toutless, and set up an alert for any replies on the thread..

That was a really good price.
I went onto viagogo and they were €67 - €99 for one tkt before all fees which on viagogo are supposed to be quite a nasty surprise at the end.

    Don't feed the touts!

Head over to Toutless.com and start a thread, if there's not one already.
    Face value sales allowed only.

Edit: Few people looking so far, and no one selling, but that'll happen closer to the date - I'd subscribe to the thread, as folks often put up a for sale, rather than messaging people who put up wanted ads...

Saw this guy in Vancouver last night - amazing gig, bordering on life affirming. When the drop kicked in during the Magnets remix is now one of my top 10 gig moments.

Anyone have any ideas if we are allowed to bring in Masks to Vicar Street ? We weren't allowed to bring any into the Olympia. Have a light up mask id like to bring.

    Cant find anything online.

Psyched for this. His last two albums are so so good. Only seen him once - at Primavera about 4 years ago which was class - but an indoor show should be on another level

I'd say so, I dont think it'll be like one of those late Friday or Saturday night shows. It's a Thursday and AFAIK, Vicar doesn't even do those late shows. (Didnt for Leftfield on a Friday night even)

Why do people look at the setlist? Takes away from it I think if you know what songs are played and what's next.

Can't wait for this. He was brilliant at body and soul. Looking forward to Singularity, Emerald Rush, Everything Connected and Luminous Beings. And Magnets 😎

Barker is the support act. For those of you don't don't know him, from Nialler9's Facebook:

Barker is the resident DJ at the infamous Berlin club night Leisure System, who recently celebrated their tenth anniversary at the legendary Berghain venue. Barker has remixed the likes of Blondes & Clark. Check out some of his excellent mixes here : https://soundcloud.com/voltek

It's not like his setlist is constantly changing. I checked out the setlist before the gig I went to and was glad as I'd somehow missed the Magnets remix when it was released.

Is this the Magnets track your referring to, I'm sure it was called (Two Dancers Jon Hopkins Remix). He closed Body & Soul with this, this year and he also played it at Electric Picnic too and Body & Soul festival the year before.

The track in this video is indeed Two Dancers Remix, he has been playing Magnets Remix and then Two Dancers Remix as an encore for this tour (in that order). The Spotify playlist is slightly out of order.

This is my favourite remix of his, the Coldplay Midnight mix. Don't think he plays it live anymore though

What's the deal with the aftershow in D8? You have to buy seperate tickets or will the Vicar Street ticket do?

Think I read it's 8euro into D8 if you have a stamp from Vicar St, 12euro without

    Projector problems?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,070 ✭✭✭purple hands

    Class

Was that an extended version of the Two Dancers remix or a third song in the encore?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,992 ✭✭✭Korvanica

Fun Gig. Amazing tunes and set as always.

Massive shame about the projectors - really detracted from it all. Vicar Street really messed up there, i'd say Jon was just as annoyed as others were. The house lights they had weren't great.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 858 ✭✭✭Homesick Alien

He did cut the set short right? I didn't just imagine it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,681 ✭✭✭Standman

Does anyone know what songs he played in the encore? There's a lovely one there I'd never heard before. Wasn't the Magnets/Two Dancers remix. Sounded minimal enough with a nice gentle riff.

Pretty sure the last song was Light through the veins, from Insides.
