is there anywhere in Dublin where you can go and they can take all your measurements on a turbo trainer /dummy bike or whatever?
For example somewhere where you could talk about back pain or mobility issues etc and then tell you what bike size to order. ie stack / reach etc

Not in Dublin, but not too far http://www.bikefitstudio.ie/
They know what they doing. I'm totally pain free since my bike fit.

Went here also after a failed bike fit in Galway and found these guys excellent.

Went to Aidan Hammond http://bikefittingireland.com/ when I was thinking of getting a new bike. As well making some adjustments to my old bike, he advised me on the key dimensions to look for in the new bike. A M/L from one maker turned out to be virtually identical to the M from another. After I got the new bike, I went back to him for some fine tuning and have been very happy with the fit ever since.

He's a little outside Dublin near Kilmacanogue but it's worth the trip.

I’ve heard great things about Aidan too but the key point is that I will be bike-less getting the fit

    From http://bikefittingireland.com/bikefits-pricing/:
I haven’t purchased a bike yet, can you fit me for a new bike purchase??
Yes, I use a bicycle jig that i can set to any frame size and geometry, crank lengths, handlebar size and stem size so we can easily work out what works well for you and make recommendations on bikes after.

Would you recommend any one of the three fitters in particular?
