    Hello Everyone

One year ago completely by accident it was discovered that part of my thyroid needs to be removed. Since then I had 2 scans, biopsy ( luckily no cancer) but for few months niw I’m not happy with the public health care , as my previous doctor left the hospital, the new assigned consultant - I havent even seen him, just one of his junior team members- Iwas supposed to receive invite for another ultrasound early January and until now no appointment and in the hospital they don’t know when I’ll get one. I seen privately prof endochrynologust in the mean time ( back in my home country) who confirmed that I should have the surgery.

I have bad feeling that public service is bringing me to nowhere and the new consultant has specialisation in different parts of the body..

I have good private insurance so I’m not too scared about the cost - can someone please reccomend some good specialist and the hospital where I could have this surgery done? ( even by private message)

I have also some history of other illnesses and “my” hospital has full record and all the documentation - what is the process of getting that documentation shared with the new doctor/ hospital of my choice?

I appreciate your help here- I’m bit blind when it comes to Irish health service

    Thank you
