Citroen C4 Grand Picasso, spare wheel question

Hi all could some one tell me why some of the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso, have a spare wheel, and others don't I'm looking at buying a 152 model, I'm changing from a 2010 model, that had no spare wheel, my friend has a 162 model Picasso and he has one that came with it,
any info on this would be very much appreciated

I've a 2014 model with 2.0 bluehdi engine, it actually doesn't have space for the spare wheel due to larger exhaust. Also I think the 18" wheels don't fit either even with the 1.6 engine.

Otherwise the rest should probably work fine, maybe it's just an option as to whether it's actually included?

If you're motorway driving etc probably better to just rely on breakdown cover? Not really safe to DIY on any kind of major road?

I guess I have seen a forum post showing underbody winch mechanism from older model can be used with space saver wheel for grand picasso. When I bought mine, asked salesman(it was a citroen dealer) about it he said there is no optional spare wheel available for current model compressor and spray bottle only.

I have a spare in the B78 from the factory...

There's definitely an option for all the 1.6 models.
