Storage heater not working

I've just moved into an apartment that was never occupied before.  It has 3 storage heaters that don't work. I've switched on the wall switch and checked the fuses. The dual storage heater works in convection (instant) mode.
The night meter is working as units increase when the water heater is used.
Other treads mention  a "night rate timer" either in the storage heater or at the meter.  I can't see any timer, (other than the water heater one) can you advise where it is.

    Hi there,

Thank you for getting in touch.

If the night rate is working on your meter, it is unlikely that the time switch (or clock) is at fault as this would affect all appliances in the property that are operating at night. A time switch is usually next to the meter. In the case of apartments, one time switch may control several apartments.

If the time switch is stopped or at the wrong time, an appointment can be arranged for an ESB Networks technician to come to the property. Electric Ireland customers can do this over the phone on 1850 372 372 (Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm). We are unable to set up appointments here on Boards.

You may need to get an independent electricial contractor to take a look at the storage heaters if you are unable to identify the problem.

Should you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Thanks,
    Aoife
