    Anyone want to offer an estimation for a day rate for a blocklayer.

    Working in Dublin - travelling 1.5 hours (3 hours return)

    €1.20 a block. plus any traveling costs

    depends on access, how many corners, how close are the blocks, how high, no of windows, doors etc.

    you could do hundreds in a day or 50.

    I kind of depends on a couple of things,
    Is it working for someone or yourself?
    Is it a ltd company with insurance or somebody on rct?
    How many men?
    Quality of work.
    The reason I ask if working for someone normally brickies don't get travel so every body gets the same rate. You can pm me the rate and I'll let u no what I think.

    Rates down here around €0.90-1.00 for footings and €1.50 for upper levels with a premium on top of that if you are going fullfil Xtratherm or similar. Day rates for good men are up on €200 if blockie sub-contracting.

    Yes that is the figure I'm hearing.

    You then hear other guys talking 150 per day - but not sure of quality of that work,
