Fan Heaters - warning

    Folks

Sounds obvious I know, but anyway - I regularly use a fan heater (like one pictured) and regularly leave it warming up a room for a while.

Did so this evening and as I was leaving the room I smelt smoke - the fan failed but the heater element kept going. It may well have just burnt itself out and not started a fire, but I will no longer leave one unattended so as to find out!
