    I used to spend a bit of time in Portrane in the late 90s. I saw a video during the week of the sea about 6 feet from the chipper. It was probably about 150-200 feet from what I remember. Mad stuff.

    While people are saying FCC are slow to act, it's not that simple. In other parts of the country, preventing coastal erosion by depositing large boulders and other methods has only resulted in the erosion moving elswhere. I'm pretty sure that's what's in the minds of the council.
