    I would be more concerned by making sure the employer PRSI contributions are correct as well as tax deducted and paid over to revenue is correct rather than a date.
    If moving to new employment, you don't have to produced the P45, if that is your concern

    Gardening leave can be a bit different, depending on the wording so I would be upfront and say you worked until end Sept and then took 2 month GL

    Employers are looking at gaps and you can't say you were working till the end of GL: be careful you don't get caught out here..
    Also be very clear on why it was GL

    You were employed by the company yes but not actually working so what I am asking is the answer to this question:
    When did you finish work with ABC?

    GL is unusual unless you have another job lined up so as I said before just don't get caught out
